The SC PM’s responsibilities focus on:
- Representing the Supply Chain in the Core Team of New Product Introduction (NPI) projects (Purple Projects) or KTI high priority initiatives, and coordinate deployment into the Supply Chain
- Acting as SC Project Manager in major SC strategical initiatives, which requires changes in the supply chain like Production Transfers at KONE factories (like insourcing from external suppliers or creation of a back-up of another KONE factory)
- Coordinating the Supply Chain tasks in Elevator level releases managed through group(s) of product/process change requests (CR)
- Driving the execution of needed tasks by SC functions in Product Changes CRs that needs to be implemented at KONE factories
The SC PM’s key activities are:
- Work as a core team member of a NPCI project according to KONE’s NPCI process and support other core team members to jointly achieve effective and timely launch of new products and product changes, contributing to benefit realization.
- Identify and secures appropriate competencies and resources for project execution and set up/run an SC PM extended sub-teams consisting of KONE functions contributing to the execution of the project
- Develop an SC PM project plan and, in case of KTI projects, align it with overall project plan
- Coordinate relevant KONE resources (primarly SC) targeting to achieve timely and effectively project milestones and follow-up the execution of plans regularly through-out the project
- Highlight, as part of the core team, risks arising from the supply chain network related to the project to the core team and project steering as appropriate and drive the risk analysis and implementation of mitigation actions with KONE and supplier stakeholders
- Follow up Project metrics to evaluate status of implementation at each milestone and ensure regular Portfolio update
- Organize, drive and run progress reporting of designated projects at SC leadership forums, such as NPCI Project Core Team, SC Leadership Team, Tribe steerings
- Communicate actively to all relevant parties about the project status and challenges.
- In case of Purple projects, collect content review deliverables from Extended Team and assess them by coloring criteria into needed tool
- Collect SC specific project requirements and manage them through the project execution
- Coordinate all tasks needed to ensure Supply Chain readiness as described into the SC PM Matrix tool
