A. Primary Purpose (Why does this job exist)
The Pricing Analyst supports pricing activities for the Hong Kong market through strong analytical capability and disciplined pricing execution.
This role works closely with Pricing Managers, Sales, and Finance to support pricing strategy implementation, manage pricing analytics, and enhance margin performance. The position plays an important role in enabling value-based pricing, improving pricing transparency, and supporting profitable growth.
B. Primary Duties & Responsibilities
Pricing Analysis & Execution Support
- Support implementation of pricing strategies and pricing governance as defined by regional pricing leadership
- Assist with deal pricing execution, including price validation, discount analysis, and approval support
- Ensure pricing accuracy and consistency across systems, tools, and commercial processes
Margin & Performance Analytics
- Conduct pricing and margin analysis to identify trends, risks, and opportunities (e.g. price realization, discount levels, mix impact)
- Support tracking of pricing KPIs and preparation of regular pricing performance reports
- Provide analytical support to help drive value capture and margin improvement
Competitive & Market Analysis
- Support competitor pricing monitoring and benchmarking for the Hong Kong market
- Analyze market dynamics, customer behavior, and competitive positioning to support pricing decisions
- Maintain structured pricing and competitive data for analysis and reporting
Cross-functional Collaboration
- Partner with Sales, Finance, Product, and Supply Chain teams to support pricing execution
- Act as a pricing support contact for commercial teams on pricing-related topics
- Support communication and clarification of pricing rules, policies, and best practices
Process Improvement & Governance
- Support continuous improvement of pricing processes, analytics, and reporting tools
- Ensure pricing activities comply with internal pricing policies and governance standards
- Assist Pricing Manager in documenting pricing processes and standardizing execution practices
C. Education, Technical Skills, Knowledge & Experience
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, Engineering, or related discipline
- Advanced degree or MBA is a plus
Experience
- 2–4 years of experience in pricing, commercial analysis, finance, sales operations, or similar roles
- Experience supporting B2B or industrial pricing activities preferred
- Exposure to APAC or Hong Kong market pricing is an advantage
Skills & Capabilities
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail
- Solid understanding of pricing fundamentals (cost-plus vs value-based pricing, margin, discounting)
- Proficient in Excel and data analysis tools; experience with ERP or pricing systems preferred
- Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional and multi-cultural environment
- Clear communication skills and a structured, disciplined working approach
