POSITION SPECIFICS
Penn State Auxiliary & Business Services is hiring a full-time, on-campus Pre-Mail Variable Data & Print Specialist for its Multimedia and Print Center (MPC). The role focuses on preparing and managing mailing data to meet U.S. Postal Service automation requirements, including address list processing, NCOA updates, data formatting, variable data printing, and producing USPS documentation. The position also involves operating print/mail equipment, preparing print-ready files, and providing backup support across Pre-Mail functions.
The specialist works closely with customer service, design, print, and mailing teams, contributes to process improvement, and supports MPC’s mission of high-quality, efficient print and mail services. The role emphasizes teamwork, continuous learning, workplace safety, and a respectful, inclusive environment.
Qualifications
Strong computer skills (especially Microsoft Office) and basic math ability. Preferred qualifications include knowledge of postal regulations and experience with variable data and design software such as FusionPro, InDesign, and Adobe Acrobat.

SALARY & BENEFITS
The salary range for this position, including all possible grades, is $38,300.00 - $55,500.00.
