Summary:
The School of International Service (SIS) Office of Pre-College Programs at American University is looking for a motivated Student Application Coordinator. This role is perfect for students interested in enrollment, program management, and education. Both undergraduate and graduate students are encouraged to apply.
SIS pre-college programs, including the High School Summer Scholars (HSSS) and the National Student Leadership Conference (NSLC), give academically motivated high school students the chance to earn college credits during the summer.
Essential Functions:
Organize and maintain student application data in Excel and the Colleague system.
Check for errors and inconsistencies in data.
Support communication with students and families via email and phone.
Analyze program data to identify trends and support planning decisions.
Collaborate with the Director on administrative and analytical tasks.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
Part-time.
20 hours per week.
Salary Range:
$17.95 - $19.50 per hour.
Required Education and Experience:
Current undergraduate or graduate student at American University.
Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple tasks.
Strong communicator, both in writing and on the phone.
Able to work independently and as part of a team.
Discreet with sensitive information and eager to learn new skills.
Preferred Education and Experience:
Experience with Excel or Colleague is a plus, but not required.
Additional Eligibility Qualifications:
Gain hands-on experience in program management and data analysis.
Work closely with the Director on real-world projects.
Flexible hours and hybrid work setup.
Open to Federal Work Study students.
