We are seeking a Practice Representative to join our Oncology team in Winchester. In this role, you’ll serve as the first point of contact for patients and visitors, creating a positive, seamless experience through clear communication and outstanding service. You will collaborate closely with managers, physicians, nurses, and care teams to ensure every patient feels supported from arrival to departure.

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Job Description:

What You’ll Do

Deliver Outstanding Service

  • Greet and assist patients, visitors, and staff in person and by phone
  • Provide clear directions, accurate information, and timely follow-up
  • Create a welcoming, professional experience for everyone

Coordinate Communication & Records

  • Collect and relay accurate patient information to providers
  • Prepare schedules, records, and documents to quality standards
  • Maintain strict confidentiality across all communication channels

Manage Patient Intake

  • Handle check-in, registration, and demographic verification
  • Confirm insurance details: prior authorizations, referrals, pre-certifications
  • Collect co-payments and guide patients to the next steps in their visit

Keep Operations Flowing

  • Monitor patient flow and waiting areas
  • Proactively resolve delays (late arrivals, schedule changes, etc.)
  • Act as a liaison between patients and care teams

Support Scheduling & Check-Out

  • Process patient check-out smoothly
  • Schedule follow-ups, lab tests, and diagnostics
  • Share educational materials as needed
  • Enter visit billing tickets

What You’ll Bring

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED (Associate’s preferred)
  • 0–1 year of related experience
  • Basic computer skills (web-based systems navigation)

Preferred Experience

  • 1+ year in healthcare, customer service, or hospitality

Pay Range:

$20.50 - $27.59

The pay range listed for this position is the base hourly wage range the organization reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for this position at this time. Actual compensation is determined based on several factors, that may include seniority, education, training, relevant experience, relevant certifications, geography of work location, job responsibilities, or other applicable factors permissible by law.  Compensation may exceed the base hourly rate depending on shift differentials, call pay, premium pay, overtime pay, and other additional pay practices, as applicable to the position and in accordance with the law.
