Power Apps Developer - Entry Level

The Role

The Defence & Nuclear Technology Solutions (UK) division, part of KBR’s Mission Technology Solutions Business Unit, is seeking a Power Apps Developer to join our Information Systems team.

This role would suit someone starting their career—whether you’re a recent graduate or have some hands-on experience—and are passionate about creating innovative tools and solutions using the Microsoft Power Platform. You’ll collaborate closely with stakeholders to design and deliver intuitive, scalable applications and workflows that streamline business processes and improve data management.

Location

Leatherhead – 3 days in the office (with occasional travel both nationally and internationally)

Security Requirements

Due to project security requirements, candidates must be eligible for UK security clearance. This typically requires sole British National with 5-year footprint living and working in the UK.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Power Apps applications to meet business needs

• Build both Model-Driven and Canvas Apps to deliver tailored solutions for different scenarios

• Create and manage tables in Microsoft Dataverse to support data storage and integration for Power Apps solutions 

• Develop automated workflows using Power Automate to streamline processes and integrate systems across the organisation

• Build and configure dataflows in Power Platform to extract, transform, and load data from multiple sources into Dataverse

• Integrate Power Apps solutions with existing data sources and systems

• Ensure solutions adhere to DNTS standards for security, usability, and performance

• Provide technical support and documentation for developed applications

• Stay updated on Power Platform capabilities and recommend improvements

What we Need

We’re seeking someone with a strong foundation in Microsoft Power Platform and a passion for building effective solutions. Ideally, you’ll bring:

Essential

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience)

• Solid understanding of Microsoft Power Apps and Power Automate

• Basic knowledge of data modelling and relational databases

• A problem-solving mindset with great attention to detail

• Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with stakeholders

Desirable

• PL-900: Microsoft Power Platform Fundamentals certification

• Familiarity with SharePoint, Dynamics 365, or Azure services

• Exposure to the software development lifecycle and agile methodologies

• Knowledge of programming languages such as JavaScript, C#, R, or Python
