Overview:


The PMO Financial Reporting Analyst acts as a key liaison for the Delivery Project Management team, ensuring accurate and consistent financial reporting across all projects. This role is responsible for:
Financial Management: Maintaining and improving financial reports, decks, and processes to support project delivery.
Data Analysis & Review: Analyzing project data, variances, accruals, re-classes, DEV/NIX movements, and other financial metrics.
Reporting & Forecasting: Preparing regular prelim, month end and ad-hoc financial updates, forecasts, and planning reports & documents.
Process Improvement: Developing tools and methodologies to ensure a standardized, high-quality approach to financial reporting.
Collaboration: Working closely with project directors & managers to enhance delivery effectiveness through accurate financial insights.

Responsibilities:

  • To work with and follow the guidance of the Delivery Project Management Office
  • Works closely with business leaders and Business, Technology, Strategy, Finance & Controller partners to provide financial advice and service that supports the financial management activities of the Group/portfolio. Supports the monitoring and management of financial performance against plans, forecasts, initiatives and objectives.
  • Define, maintain and drive process improvements for Project Management within the company, including management policies, methods and tools
  • Provide guidance, documentation, and metrics related to the practices involved in managing and implementing projects within the organization
  • Perform project assurance and governance to ensure processes and standards are adhered to
  • Monitor progress and complete regular program reports on Delivery data and overall project status
  • Oversee Risk, Issue & change management for the Organization and facilitate the Risk and Issue Board meetings.
  • Update and support the Delivery targets and objectives set out by the Head of Delivery
  • Support the COO with the Company’s change improvement program
  • Assist the Project Managers in the production and maintenance of project plans, risk and issues, change requests and other project related activities in line with PMO activities
  • Work with the Project Managers to keep project finances up-to-date and analyse financial data
  • Assist new Project Managers during their induction
  • Continue to monitor and maintain our standard approach to storing and sharing Delivery templates and processes for all areas within Delivery through our SharePoint knowledgebase
  • Oversee all project work-off plans and facilitate regular meetings to review them with Stakeholders
  • Monitor the completion of timesheets across the Delivery team and analyze the utilization statistics as required for reporting
  • As the Owner manage and maintain the Delivery SharePoint sites
  • Hold and attend project meetings, complete minute taking and follow up on action points in line with PMO activities
  • To contribute to the team spirit within the company
  • Perform other ad-hoc or related duties as required

Qualifications:

  • Typically between 2 - 3 years of relevant experience and post-secondary degree in related field of study or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Deep knowledge and technical proficiency gained through extensive education in either Accounting, Finance, Project Management, Economics or Risk Management preferred and business experience.
  • Advanced MS Office skills including SharePoint, Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint and knowledgeable in Access, SQL and Power BI.

Salary:

$57,500.00 - $106,500.00

The above represents BMO Financial Group’s pay range and type.

Salaries will vary based on factors such as location, skills, experience, education, and qualifications for the role, and may include a commission structure. Salaries for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on number of hours regularly worked. For commission roles, the salary listed above represents BMO Financial Group’s expected target for the first year in this position.

BMO Financial Group’s total compensation package will vary based on the pay type of the position and may include performance-based incentives, discretionary bonuses, as well as other perks and rewards.
