Job Description
You will be responsible for product line sourcing strategy development in both the Continuation and New Product Introduction (NPI) process. This is a leadership role with responsibility for project management and accountability for deadlines, results, and metrics. You will be a central Sourcing interface. It manages engagement with suppliers, development teams, and commodity leaders. The goal is to deliver on-time-to-market products, the best cost, and supply continuity, while mitigating supply chain risk. An important activity of this role is to help improve integration of PLM Sourcing Business Processes at our Subsidiary ASEM. You will report to the PLM Sourcing Manager. You will work from Katowice Poland but will be required to travel to ASEM in Udine, Italy to support business activities as needed. We make a hybrid work arrangement available for locations and functions that participate and are approved for this arrangement.
Your Responsibilities:
- Manage the operational rollout of PLM sourcing processes within Rockwell Automation subsidiary, ensuring process compliance through detailed execution support, user training, and process education.
- Lead and early supplier engagement in Rockwell Automation's Common Product Development (CPD) process.
- Lead supplier-driven cost improvement activities. Support NPI and Continuation team's product cost and productivity targets through establishment of the best cost for new components.
- Implement ISC Supply Chain Material Readiness (SCMR) which includes the use of the ISC Part Tracker and Critical Part Process risk management.
- Reduce product risk through proper sourcing strategy development and resiliency execution. Improve use of 'Preferred' suppliers. Provide NPI or Continuation team with supply chain risk assessments which include obsolescence, delivery, currency, logistics, political and other risks.
- Project manages the communication and activities between the NPI or Continuation team and Procurement. (i.e., source selection, supplier negotiations, sourcing strategy development, supplier issue resolution) Helps establish supply management parameter guidelines with buyers and planners. (i.e., production authorization agreements, schedule agreements, lot size, lead time, logistics, packaging)
- Improve Sourcing Process Improvements through elimination of variation and waste, focusing on process improvement.
- Interface and build relationships with Development Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Component Engineering, Your department Management, Sourcing, Operations Management, Industrialization Planning, Supplier Quality, Marketing and Finance.
- Conduct tasks following all applicable health, safety, quality, and environmental regulations & laws and Rockwell Automation procedures. Policies and procedures include but are not limited to: Standards of Business Conduct, Intellectual Property, Control Environment, Information Protection, ISO 9000 & ISO 14000.
- Perform other duties and projects as assigned.
The Essentials - You Will Have:
- Bachelor's Degree
- Fluency in English required; proficiency in Italian is a plus.
- The ability to travel 25% of the time.
The Preferred - You Might Also Have:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent experience.
- Advanced formal education is desirable in business or a technical discipline.
- 8+ years of supply chain, sourcing, project management or operations management experience.
- Project Management (PMP) certification
- Lean / Six Sigma certifications
- Manage projects requiring identification of goals, resources, and approaches.
- Experience with procurement, MRP, inventory, logistics and production principles.
- Project team leader, comfortable in leading and multicultural teams.
- Negotiate with suppliers and with multiple organizational levels within Rockwell Automation.
- Advanced understanding and use of data management applications
- Comfort with using AI and new technologies
- Experience operating within Agile or scaled Agile frameworks, using Jira to support sprint planning and work visibility.
