About this role:
Within the Chief Operating Office Technology (COO Tech) group, the Fraud and Claims Platform & Application Services team is seeking a Platform & Application Support/SRE Leader to manage a global team of platform engineers focused on providing users, applications, and platform support for COO Tech.
The COO Tech group provides technology services for the Chief Operating Office. This includes operations, control executives, strategic execution, business continuity and resiliency, data solutions and services, regulatory relations, customer experience, enterprise shared services, supply chain management, and the corporate properties group. COO Tech provides technology solutions and manages application portfolios for these groups to support modernization and optimization.
In this role, you will:
Manage a global team of platform engineers, managers and leads in the Fraud and Claims Platform organization
Build application support strategies with business and technology leaders
Identify opportunities and strategies for continuous improvement of platform engineering practices
Provide oversight to security, availability, resilience, and scalability of solutions developed by the teams or third party providers
Guide development of actionable roadmaps and plans
Implement risk management guidelines and partner with key stakeholders
Lead implementation of projects and encourage platform engineering innovation
Collaborate and influence all levels of professionals including more experienced managers
Lead team to achieve objectives
Manage allocation of people and financial resources
Develop and guide a culture of platform engineering talent development to meet business objectives and strategy
Assist leaders in considering complexity and long-term implications of transformation to self- governing teams
Collaborate with all levels of managers and steering committees across the enterprise
Required Qualifications:
8+ years of Technology Strategic Leadership experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
8+ years of experience and expertise in platforms and application support within a financial services organization
8+ years of experience and expertise in incident prevention methodologies, risk management frameworks, and operational excellence principles
8+ years of experience and expertise in cloud infrastructure, containerization platforms, application monitoring tools, and security technologies
4+ years of Management experience
4+ years of Site Reliability Engineering experience
Desired Qualifications:
Strong executive presence, facilitation skills, drive for results, attention to quality and detail, and a synergetic attitude
Ability to develop and deliver effective, well-articulated, written, and oral communications (e.g., emails, presentation materials) applying appropriate level of content/ detail dependent upon audience and intent
Experience as a highly effective leader with credibility from demonstrating strong business and technology acumen
Experience motivating and influencing groups or individuals across organizational boundaries to gain trust and confidence to make timely decisions
Excellent communications, interpersonal, and presentations skills across technical and non-technical groups
Proven track record of successfully leading and managing teams in a high-pressure environment
Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities with a focus on proactive solutions
Experience with Site Reliability Engineering
Knowledge and understanding of Enterprise Change Management procedures and tools

Iselin, NJ Pay Range: $215,000 - $285,000 - $355,000

Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to demonstrated examples of prior performance, skills, experience, or work location. Employees may also be eligible for incentive opportunities.
