Job Summary: THIS IS AN INDIANA NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION This position is part of the IN JFHQ IN J2 3 7, Indiana National Guard under Position Description Number D0619000. If you would like the complete list of duties, please contact the POC of this announcement.

Major Duties:

  • Researches a variety of planning problems.
  • Develops, analyzes and updates drug enforcement support operations contingency plans.
  • Develops state reporting procedures regarding Serious Incident Reporting (SIR) Submits initial telephone report to NGB, as required.
  • Develops, analyzes and updates the state Terrorism Counteraction Plan.
  • Analyzes integrated plans for the Adjutant General on the State Defense Force (SDF) to assume state duties of NG following mobilization.
  • Functions as an Operations Officer during training simulations. Develops operational procedures to implement contingency and emergency plans.
  • May act in behalf of supervisor during short periods of absence.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications: MILITARY GRADES: O2 through O3 COMPATIBLE MILITARY ASSIGNMENTS: 42 Series, 90A, 92A, 01A GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Experience, education or training which provided a general knowledge of principles of organization, management, and administration. Compiling reports, letters, memoranda, etc., and required person-to-person contacts to convey information. Progressively responsible experience which demonstrates the ability to provide technical guidance and assistance in the type of work or in comparable work of the position to be filled. Experience using computer and automation systems. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: At least 1 year specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level. Experience, education or training in program or managerial experience in a type of work or a combination of functions directly related to the position to be filled or in comparable work or functions. Experience developing and recommending policy; organizing and carrying out specific programs, evaluating and recommending changes in methods of operations. Experience in supervisory, staff or technical work which included study, analysis or evaluation leading to the development or improvement of managerial or administrative policies, practices and procedures. Experience preparing written communications and oral presentations. Experience with in-depth analytical and administrative skills and develops detailed and comprehensive plans.
