Summary

Responsible for leading Planning & Control activities across the product lifecycle for the external supply chain that enable inventory and logistics costs to be optimised for Rolls Royce and to ensure delivery performance expectations are achieved. Responsible for the deployment and development of planning and control capability within their team.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Utilising the R-R Production System lead the P&C team to ensure that they understood their performance. Process-Confirm the team are managing key leading metrics and ensuring that the team closes performance gaps.
  • Work with Manufacturing Engineering and Quality managers within Supplier Management team & with relevant OBU interfaces to ensure performance enablers are understood, prioritised and supported
  • Enable the P&C team to lead Supplier Performance Reviews
  • Work with ME, Quality & PM/PI managers to ensure mid-term delivery risks are understood, prioritised and supported
  • Enable the P&C team to lead successful Order Book Reviews.
  • Provide input into the sourcing strategy and sourcing decisions, helping shape the 'blueprint' for the supply chain
  • Be the P&C accountable person in the sourcing process Stage 1 (Sourcing strategy), Stage 2 (Supplier selection) and supporting processes (ESCCA etc).
  • Be the P&C accountable person to support/ agree implementation and sign off gate reviews of Future Programmes/PI/Reactivation/Transfers for their commodities/ value stream to ensuring continuity of supply
  • Ensure key change milestones and relevant APQP activities driven by the ME, Quality & PM/PI teams are understood, supported and tracked by P&C team    
  • Manage the supply chain responses to support business impact evaluation (Risk, Inventory, Capacity and Financial).
  • Accountable for inventory budget and forecast within their commodities/ supply chain value stream

Key Qualifications:

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent
  • Experience in a Domestic/Supplier Management environment at management level
  • Experience of leading a team, influencing and building relationships at all levels
  • Demonstrable evidence of business acumen; relating to Planning & Control, manufacturing and/or Supplier Management.
  • Sufficient functional knowledge to support the professional development of people in Planning & Control roles.
