Planning Business Analyst (Permanent, Full‑Time)
Location: Hybrid – Letchworth
What You Will Do
As a Planning Business Analyst, you will be a key member of the Supply Planning team, supporting the effective flow of materials to meet production requirements. You will work closely with suppliers, production, materials and inventory teams to ensure the right materials are available at the right time. Using data and insight, you will help optimise inventory levels, support planning decisions and identify opportunities to improve supply chain performance.
How You Will Do It
- Manage and analyse inventory levels to balance customer demand with inventory targets
- Coordinate material availability and shipment timing in line with production schedules
- Partner with procurement, operations, customer service and sales to identify supply chain risks and solutions
- Develop and support contingency plans to mitigate supply and planning disruptions
- Build strong supplier relationships to ensure delivery schedules and quality standards are met
- Use data analysis to support continuous improvement across planning and inventory processes

What We Are Looking For
- Experience in supply planning, supply chain or a related analytical role is welcome but not essential
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and support data‑driven decisions
- Good Excel skills, including pivot tables, pivot charts and VLOOKUPs
- Familiarity with ERP and inventory management systems (e.g. Logility, JDE) is an advantage
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Proactive, problem‑solving mindset with a focus on continuous improvement
