Planner, ANZ (Based in Wacol, Brisbane)
About the Role
This is an exceptional opportunity to join our Global Operations team as a Planner based in Wacol, Brisbane (Immediate Hire).
The Planner reports to the Planning & Procurement Supervisor and is responsible to organise production according to demand, customer requirements, quality standards and scheduling requirements.
This role involves close collaboration with Procurement, Manufacturing & Production, Quality and Customer Service teams to maintain balance between supply and demand, minimize inventory costs and react to supply chain changes.
Key Responsibilities
This role will have the following accountabilities:
Organize optimal workflow by preparing manufacturing schedules that meet material availability and customer order lead time requirements
Organise & schedule production maintenance with contractors taking into consideration production scheduling
Manage contractor documents including preparing paperwork prior to work being carried out and filing of paperwork once work is completed.
Ensure all contractor supplied documents are up to date prior to works being started
Maintain contractor database (eg compliance calendar, excel spreadsheet)
Maintain SAP to schedule production, confirmations, dispatch goods, monitor stock levels,
maintain customer/blend requirements and produce reports as required.
Maintain & update production board as required in a timely manner
Maintain & update required spreadsheets in a timely manner
Identify issues in efficiency and suggest improvements
Complete production plan by scheduling efficiently; accomplishing work results; establishing priorities; monitoring progress; revising schedules; resolving problems
Communicated with Warehouse if inwards goods have not been received according to the weekly incoming goods report
Receipt of inward goods in a timely manner
Communication of any issues with inward goods to procurement ASAP
Creation of Purchase Requests where required
To have an active role in the Company continuous improvement plan to achieve plans for future growth within the company
Resolve problems by analyzing data; investigating issues; identifying solutions; recommending action
Create Production Schedule to meet customer DIFOT in spec requirements
Use knowledge and experience to avoid/anticipate and deal with problems
Ensure safety, food safety and quality procedures are always followed by all staff and contractors
Demonstrate initiative to continuously improve performance
Work Independently with great time management
Archive Goods in notes, stock adjustment forms in timely manner •
Maintain housekeeping standards to ensure a clean and safe workplace
Assist in coverage during absence in both the customer service and procurement roles
Complete reports and business requirement as requested by Supervisor/Manager in a timely manner
May assist in other areas or perform duties as required by Supervisor/Manager
EHSQS
Perform, Maintain and improve the EHSQS standard and requirements as set by the Company. Participate in the company’s EHSQS program including training, audit etc
Assuming a role of Element owner/ Support/ EHS Committee/ Emergency Response team in J2E where applicable.
Complete safety training and audits as required
Align personal goals and objectives with the site Strategic Plan.
Knowledge of Life Savings Principles (LSP), Stop Work Authority and Product Protection Principles (PPP).
Participating in Site Safety Observations
Report near miss or unsafe act
Improve overall J2E element scores in each role
About You
The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate the following competencies:
5+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment
Certificate IV in Food Processing or Warehousing is preferred but not essential.
Strong SAP/MRP/Resource Planning /Power BI and Microsoft programs competencies.
High level planning, administration, critical thinking skills are essential
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Strong in organising, prioritising, problem-solving and decision-making.
Being able to commence work on short notice is ideal.
This is a fully on-site role
