We are seeking a Pipe Fitter to support some of the most innovative, complex, and large-scale data center and mission-critical construction projects in the country. This role will be instrumental in delivering RMCI’s first-generation programs as a General Contractor within hyperscale and enterprise data center environments. 

As a Pipe Fitter, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of piping systems that convey liquids, gases, and sometimes solids in various industrial, commercial settings. Your role is crucial in ensuring the functionality, efficiency, and safety of piping systems according to specifications and regulatory standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Read Blueprints and Specifications: Interpret and follow blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine the layout, assembly, and installation requirements for piping systems.
  • Pipe Installation: Measure, cut, thread, and bend pipes to required angles and dimensions using hand tools and power tools.
  • Pipe Assembly: Assemble and install pipes and fittings, including joints, valves, couplings, and other plumbing components.
  • Testing and Inspection: Conduct pressure tests and inspections of installed piping systems to detect leaks and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
  • Maintenance and Repair: Repair or replace damaged pipes, valves, and fittings as necessary to maintain system integrity and functionality.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and hours worked for project reporting and billing purposes.
  • Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety regulations and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and team members.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Experience: Proven experience as a pipe fitter or in a similar role involving pipe installation and maintenance.
  • Pipe Fitting Skills: Proficiency in measuring, cutting, threading, bending, and assembling pipes and fittings.
  • Blueprint Reading: Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues related to piping systems and installations.
  • Physical Stamina: Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting heavy pipes and working in various positions and environments.

Working Conditions:

  • Work is typically performed indoors and outdoors at construction sites, industrial facilities, or residential buildings, involving exposure to noise, dust, and varying weather conditions.
  • Schedule may include overtime, weekends, and irregular hours based on project deadlines and requirements.

  • The inherent responsibilities of your role may include physical working conditions. In order to safely and successfully perform job duties you must be able to:  
    • Potentially lift up to 50 pounds 
    • Potentially need to do repeated pushing, pulling, carrying, reaching (or working above shoulder), walking, standing, sitting, stooping, kneeling, bending, and climbing  
    • Potentially operate a motor vehicle, crane, tractor, etc.
