About the Role:

This is a rare opportunity to help shape the UK media presence of one of the most talked-about and transformational brands in the world. OpenAI sits at the centre of a fast-moving, highly scrutinised and culturally defining category, and 2026 marks a step-change in ambition, investment and visibility. 

As Planning Manager on OpenAI, you’ll lead the day-to-day planning engine for the account, ensuring campaigns are integrated, aligned and delivered to the highest standard. You’ll sit at the intersection of UK, global and channel teams, translating global strategy into clear, effective local execution while maintaining momentum across multiple campaigns, audiences and channels. 

This role is ideal for someone who thrives in complexity, enjoys ownership and wants to play a defining role in how a category-leading brand shows up in market. 

 

What you’ll do 

  • Lead end-to-end media planning across brand, product and engagement campaigns 
  • Act as the primary day-to-day planning lead, ensuring work is joined up, on time and on brief 
  • Be the key link between global stakeholders, UK leadership and channel teams 
  • Own overall delivery quality, ensuring plans, outputs and recommendations are clear, rigorous and impactful 
  • Bring structure and clarity to an evolving remit, helping the account move from reactive to genuinely proactive 

 

About you 

You’re a confident, highly organised planner with strong channel knowledge and a calm approach to complexity. You’re comfortable owning delivery, guiding others and making smart judgement calls when things move quickly or change direction. 

You combine strategic thinking with operational grip, enjoy collaborating across disciplines and are curious about emerging technology, platforms and new ways of working. You take pride in high standards, clear thinking and helping teams do their best work. 

Curiosity about AI, emerging platforms or hands-on experience using tools such as large language models to support day-to-day work is a welcome bonus

Flexible Working

We have a hybrid working model (three days in the office, two working remotely), to ensure that we meet the needs of both our people and our business, balancing the benefits of in-person connections with the flexibility of remote working.  Our standard working hours are 9:30 – 17:30, but we offer the ability to flex around core hours of 10:30 – 16:30 to give our people flexibility on how they manage their working day, whether that’s in the office or working remotely. For example, you could start work at 8:30 and finish at 16:30 or start at 10:30 and finish at 18:30.
