      We are hiring an    Inventory Pharmacy Assistant.

   

 

About the role:

     Reporting directly to the Supervisor, Supply Chain the Inventory Pharmacy Assistant is responsible for inventory management and supports procurement for Central Pharmacy Services located in Mississauga. The Inventory Pharmacy Assistant is responsible for carrying out daily inventory task related to inventory management, including, but not limited to placing Orders, maintaining MSLs, receiving orders, investigating discrepancies. They will be responsible for monitoring and maintaining MMS by performing tasks like Holding tanks, updating UPCs, utilizing suggested orders and reviewing DIN equivalent reports.

What you will do:

 

    Reviews clinical and operations initiatives to determine inventory needs, taking into account current on hand inventory and the required lead times to ensure Central Pharmacy Services can execute on initiatives

     Actively seeks out opportunities for improvement within the scope of Inventory Management to meet performance, quality and financial targets

    Partners with operational site and other teams to ensure effective resolution of all inventory related issues

    Ensure stock bottles are put away in accordance with established workflow

   Maintaining perpetual inventory system

   Manage expired products in accordance with established disposal protocol.

   Prioritize recalls and immediately isolate product; quarantine until details of the recall are provided

 Management of preferred generic product e.g. DSP

   Monitor and maintain MMS by performing daily Inventory tasks like Holding tanks, updating UPCs, utilizing suggested orders, reviewing DIN equivalent report.

  Maintain Overstock to ensure the uninterrupted supply of all products

 Manage drug appearance changes effectively and accurately.

  Track and communicate low stock and out of stock situations according to pharmacy procedures

 

Others:

   Ensure stock rotation is completed and expired product is removed from the shelf and returned in accordance with standard operating procedures

   Perform cycle counts in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures

  Carry out daily inventory task, including, but not limited to placing Orders, maintaining MSLs, receiving orders, investigating discrepancies

 

What you will need:

 

    Highschool Diploma

    2-3 years in Pharmacy inventory management

    In-depth knowledge of MMS

    Creative problem solver and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment

    Ability to work with a high degree of detail and accuracy while adapting to multiple priorities

    Excellent written and verbal communication skills

    Strong skills of MS Office applications, in particular Word, Excel and PowerPoint

    Minimum 2 years of experience in a retail pharmacy or a central pharmacy facility

     Experience working in a fast-paced environment where high attention to detail and accuracy is essential

     Excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills
