Job Description:

Located in the Behring Pavilion, the PET/CT Technologist will provide a comprehensive quality patient experience collaborating with multiple departments. Following the orders of a licensed radiologist the PET/CT Technologist ensures service that embraces the John Muir Health mission and vision. The PET/CT technologist prepares radioactive compounds following manufacturer’s written procedures for administration to patients, providing for patient safety at all times. Creates Quality PET/CT and CT images adhering to the protocols outlined by the Medical Director, upon the order of a licensed independent practitioner for diagnostic interpretation by a radiologist. Maintains a high degree of professional skill and knowledge required of an oncology imaging technologist. Manages patient flow, provides exceptional patient care and adheres to all regulatory requirements related to the administration of radioactive pharmaceuticals.

Education:

  • Completion of accredited Nuclear Medicine program and California Licensure- Required

  • Completion of ARRT-CT or NMTCB (CT) – Required

 

Experience:

  • One year Nuclear Medicine experience – Required

  • Two years PET preferred

Certifications/Licensures:

  • CNMT (Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist) through NMTCB (Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board) or

  • Nuclear Medicine Technology - ARRT American Registry of Radiologic Technologists - Required

  • Certified Technologist Nuclear Medicine - California Department of Public Health - Radiologic Health Branch - Required

  • CT (Computed Tomography) - ARRT American Registry of Radiologic Technologists or CT (Computed Tomography)-NMTCB Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification - Required

  • BLS Basic Life Support - American Heart Association – Required

Work shift: variable 3 days a week with random Saturday as needed
Days worked per week: 3
Hours worked per day: 10
Variable shift during week. A random Saturday shift may be required and could be at minimum of 2 per month depending on patient accessibility. Some shift flexibility is required

Work Shift:

10.0 - 08:30 - 19:30 No Waive (United States of America)

Pay Range:

$83.43 - $125.15

Hourly

Offer amounts are based on demonstrated/relevant experience and/or licensure.
Pay will be adjusted to the local market if hired outside of the Bay Area.

Note: Positions at JMH which are exempt (not eligible for overtime) under the level of Manager are listed as hourly for compensation purposes on this posting. The work shift will contain the word ‘exempt’ on it.
