About the role

Our Perth office is excited to offer a fantastic opportunity for a Senior Associate, to work closely alongside Katherine Vines, in our Projects team. This role will see you providing advice on a diverse range of matters, predominately in front end construction and infrastructure development. Our team advises on all facets of project development and delivery from contract preparation and review, negotiation of contractual arrangements through to the management and resolution of claims in the delivery phase to deliver provide cost effective solutions to clients. We act for a range of clients including government, energy, resources and mining companies, real estate developers and contractors with a focus on providing commercially tailored solutions on high value and complex construction and development projects. You will be responsible for varied and challenging complex legal work which often sets the pace in the market.

You will be joining the team at an exciting time, as we return to our Mallesons name. We are doing so from a position of strength and excited about the future operating as a top-tier independent firm.

You will have

  • Proven expertise in drafting construction and O&M arrangements adopting different commercial frameworks and pricing models.

  • Outstanding legal analysis capabilities, with a knack for simplifying complex legal concepts.

  • Strong dedication to client service, fostering relationships that lead to timely, relevant, and commercially astute advice.

  • Team-oriented mindset, with the ability to collaborate effectively, and contribute to the team's overall success

  • Enthusiasm to be involved in business development activities - participating in industry related programs and developing strategic relationships and networks.

  • Recognised front end projects and/or construction experience gained in a similar private practice and/or in-house environment.
