Job Summary: You will serve as a PERSONNEL SUPPORT SPECIALIST in the Administrative Zone Office Code 1102.2 of PSNS and IMF.

Major Duties:

  • You will coordinate administrative requirements relating to personnel policies, procedures, changes, etc.
  • You will review personnel action documents for accuracy prior to submission through automated systems.
  • You will conduct administrative and management surveys, studies and projects and provide advisory services on administrative issues of varied scope and impact to the organization.
  • You will maintain personnel records so information may be drawn for ad-hoc spot reports as required for managers.
  • You will coordinate, review, analyze, verify and consolidate a variety of narrative and statistical information for management in order to respond to requests and action items.
  • You will instruct employees and management on shipyard policy for proper check-in/out and ensures all required paperwork and necessary briefs are completed.

Qualifications: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: coordinating and executing administrative functions in support of civilian personnel programs. This experience includes tasks such as processing personnel actions (e.g., recruitment, awards, separations), advising managers and employees on the proper procedures for personnel-related requests, and reviewing supporting documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance with established regulations.
