Job Description
To implement and support performance testing systems and strategies to ensure that critical components of a system’s application can perform as expected under varying user loads, helping to evaluate the resource usage, speed, availability, response time, scalability, and reliability of any given application and to assist in making it ready for production
- Define and embed non-functional requirements (performance, scalability, availability, resilience, reliability) across the SDLC
- Design and execute performance testing and engineering strategies
- Partner with architecture, development, and QA teams to build scalable, resilient solutions
- Identify performance bottlenecks and drive system optimisation and automation
- Analyse production incidents, support RCA, and ensure permanent fixes
- Communicate insights clearly to both technical teams and senior stakeholders
What you'll bring
- Diploma or Degree in IT, Testing, or Programming
- ISTQB / ISEB certification (Advanced Analyst advantageous)
- Junior: Exposure to performance testing tools and Java
- Intermediate: 2–5 years’ performance testing or engineering experience
- Senior: 5+ years’ experience, including performance leadership on large-scale systems
- Experience with Java, JMeter, k6, PostgreSQL performance
- Cloud certification and AI-assisted mocking exposure advantageous
- Banking experience preferred; large enterprise environments considered
