Job Description:
We are looking for a strategic and commercially driven Head of Performance / Performance Lead to strengthen our performance capability within the Media service line.
This role will lead performance strategy across key accounts, ensuring paid media, search, SEO, and e-commerce initiatives deliver measurable business outcomes. As a senior member of the media team, you will work closely with planning, buying, strategy, analytics, and client leadership teams to drive integrated, full-funnel performance campaigns.
You will act as the agency’s performance expert by elevating performance standards, driving innovation, and ensuring best in class ROI across all digital media investments.
Key Responsibilities
Performance Leadership within Media
- Lead the agency’s performance marketing agenda within the media service line.
- Integrate performance thinking into full-funnel media planning and buying.
- Ensure all media strategies are aligned with clear performance KPIs and business outcomes.
- Champion a data-led, test-and-learn approach across campaigns.
Paid Media, Search & SEO Oversight
- Oversee performance across paid search, paid social, and SEO.
- Guide teams on campaign structure, optimization frameworks, and budget allocation.
- Ensure consistent delivery of strong ROAS, CPA, and conversion performance.
- Monitor platform changes, trends, and new media opportunities.
E-commerce & Commerce Media
- Lead performance strategies for e-commerce and marketplace media
- Work with commerce and media teams to optimize digital shelf visibility and conversions.
- Drive integration of retail media into broader performance strategies.
- Support clients in scaling online sales through data-led media investment.
Client Leadership & Strategic Partnership
- Act as senior performance lead across key clients and pitches.
- Translate client business goals into clear performance media strategies.
- Present performance roadmaps, results, and optimization plans to senior stakeholders.
- Identify growth opportunities and support upselling of performance services.
Data, Analytics & Measurement
- Define performance KPIs and measurement frameworks across campaigns.
- Ensure accurate tracking, tagging, and attribution across platforms.
- Work with analytics teams to develop dashboards and actionable insights.
- Use data to continuously refine media investment and strategy.
Team Leadership & Capability Building
- Mentor and guide performance and media specialists.
- Upskill wider media teams on performance best practices.
- Establish consistent processes, tools, and frameworks.
- Support recruitment and development of performance talent.
Qualifications & Experience
- 6–10+ years experience in digital media, performance marketing, or search within an agency environment.
- Strong expertise in paid media, SEM, SEO, and performance strategy.
- Experience handling e-commerce and retail media campaigns.
- Proven track record managing performance across multiple clients and industries.
- Strong understanding of media planning, attribution, and conversion optimization.
- Experience presenting to senior clients and leading performance discussions.
- Leadership experience managing or mentoring teams.
- Commercial mindset with ability to drive revenue and client growth.
