The Role

We’re seeking a People Operations Partner with deep HRIS expertise to serve as the technical backbone of our People Operations function while also overseeing our benefits and compliance programs. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on optimizing systems, designing seamless employee experiences, and ensuring our processes are compliant, efficient, and built to scale.

You will manage our HR systems end-to-end, lead configuration and reporting, support core People programs, and ensure we maintain a strong, compliant people infrastructure across multiple states and/or countries. This is a high-impact role that partners closely with the wider People team, Payroll, Finance, IT, and leaders across the business.

Key areas of responsibility include, but are not limited to:

  • Owning and optimizing our HRIS, including configuration, workflows, data integrity, reporting, and system security.
  • Enhancing and automating employee lifecycle processes, including onboarding and offboarding.
  • Administering U.S. benefits programs and supporting enrollment cycles, vendor coordination, and employee inquiries.
  • Maintaining compliance with employment, benefits, and HR data regulations through audits, documentation, and regulatory monitoring.

The Team

The People team at Slice is high-performing and mission-driven. You will report to the Director, People Operations.

The Winning Recipe 

  • 4–6+ years of experience in HRIS or People Operations, including substantial hands-on HRIS configuration work.
  • Proven experience administering and optimizing HR systems (e.g., Workday, UKG, HiBob, Darwinbox, Rippling, Paylocity, ADP, or similar).
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. benefits administration and related compliance requirements.
  • Advanced Excel/Sheets skills with experience in HR analytics, dashboards, and data quality best practices.
  • Ability to partner cross-functionally, gather requirements, and translate them into effective technical solutions.
  • Highly organized with strong project management capabilities and exceptional attention to detail.
  • Continuous-improvement mindset with the ability to streamline processes and scale programs.
  • Excellent communication skills and a focus on delivering an exceptional employee experience.

Salary Range: $100,000 - $120,000 + benefits
