JOB PURPOSE

DEPT® is expanding! We have recently added a Budapest office in Hungary to our EMEA portfolio and expect significant growth in our team over the coming years. We are looking for a pioneering People Lead based in Hungary to lay the local foundation while driving high-impact global initiatives.

This is a unique "hybrid" role. Initially, you will split your time between building the local Depster Journey in Hungary and leading critical Global L&D programs centred around Client Partnership and AI. As our regional footprint expands, this role is designed to collaborate closely with our hubs across Spain, North Macedonia, Croatia, and Hungary.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

1. Local People Leadership (Budapest)
  • The Depster Journey: Take full ownership of the local employee experience, from onboarding and culture integration to engagement, talent management and retention.
  • Remote Strategy: Collaborate closely with our People Lead in Croatia to refine and execute our remote-first strategy, ensuring a cohesive experience for Depsters across the region.
  • Compliance: Serve as the local subject-matter expert on Hungarian labour law, benefits, and payroll coordination to ensure a seamless operational foundation.
2. Global L&D and Strategic Projects
  • Strategic Rollouts: Support and lead the global implementation of L&D programs, specifically focusing on Client Partnership excellence and on AI Transformation.
  • Scalability: Develop and harmonise training modules that can be scaled across the EMEA markets.
3. Regional Growth & Vision
  • Scale the Team: Partner with the TA team to facilitate rapid recruitment and team building in Hungary.
  • Harmonise Depster Journey: Partner with the People team members in the Remote location to harmonise the Depster journey, benefits, etc. 
  • Stakeholder management: Closely collaborating with the EVP of Distributed Delivery, who is responsible for the regional delivery of the remote teams. 

WHAT YOU'll BRING

  • Experienced Leader: You have 8+ years of experience in People/HR roles, preferably within a fast-paced agency, tech, or creative environment.
  • Local Expert: Deep knowledge of the Hungarian labour market and employment law is essential.
  • L&D Enthusiast: You have a proven track record of delivering training programs and a genuine interest in how AI is reshaping the professional landscape.
  • Entrepreneurial Mindset: You are comfortable with ambiguity and enjoy building structures from the ground up.
  • Global Collaborator: You speak fluent English and thrive in a multicultural environment, working seamlessly with colleagues from different time zones and backgrounds.
