People & Culture Intern (Summer 2026)

Location - This is an on-site role, based primarily out of our Elmhurst office with opportunity to work in both our Burr Ridge and downtown Chicago locations on occasion.

About the Role

Double Good is seeking an Intern to join our People Team for the summer.

This internship provides an opportunity to gain hands-on experience while contributing to meaningful projects that support Double Good’s continued growth. Interns will work alongside experienced team members, develop professional skills, and gain exposure to how teams operate within a fast-growing consumer technology company.

This is a 10-week internship designed to provide real business impact, cross-functional exposure, and mentorship from experienced professionals.

Responsibilities

  • Build out a skills library in alignment with Double Good’s jobs and job architecture
  • Utilize the skills library and job architecture to build career paths for teammates in Operations, Technology and Growth
  • Conduct compensation benchmarking for all Double Good jobs
  • Generate internal “stories” that drive engagement, alignment with our values, or showcase what makes Double Good a great place to work
  • Partner with Internal Communications and Marketing to plan Double Good’s Summer Shindig
  • Support efforts to ensure key company and teammate information and documents align with Double Good’s business continuity and retention strategy
  • Contribute to other cross-functional projects as needed, gaining exposure across the business.

Internship Experience

As part of the Double Good Internship Program, interns will also participate in:

  • Orientation and onboarding
  • People Team meetings and Town Halls
  • Cross-functional discussions and problem-solving sessions
  • Professional development sessions
  • Leadership roundtables
  • Social and networking events
  • A final capstone project presentation

Experience & Skills We Value

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Human Resources, or a related field (expected graduation Spring 2027)
  • Comfortable working with data and solving problems (bonus points if you’ve spent time in Excel)
  • A strong communicator who enjoys collaborating and learning from others
  • Organized and detail-oriented (you take pride in getting the little things right)
  • Able to manage multiple projects and keep things moving forward
  • Curious, eager to learn, and excited to roll up your sleeves
  • Energized by fast-paced environments where things are always evolving
  • Motivated to do meaningful work, contribute to something bigger, and maybe enjoy really great popcorn along the way

Internship Details

Program Length:
10-week Summer internship (Summer 2026)

Program Dates:
June 2, 2026 – August 7, 2026

Availability Requirement:
Interns must be available to participate in the full 10-week program and commit to the start and end dates listed above.

Schedule:
Full-time (40 hours per week) during the duration of the program

Base Pay range for this position:

  • $25/hour

The final discretionary compensation that will be offered for this role depends on a variety of factors, including job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and market location.
