About the role:
Due to a recent internal promotion we have an opportunity to join Bunnings as a People and Culture Partner. As part of the QLD People & Culture team, you will work in a small but dynamic team providing support, guidance and HR business advice and partnership to our leaders.
You will have access to various Centre's of Excellence to drive and deliver great people outcomes and solutions for your stakeholder groups.
You will be the face of the People team to your customers, providing strategic guidance in ER/IR, talent management, diversity and inclusion initiatives and strategic workforce planning.
Bunnings offers a hybrid, flexible working environment, with options to be based in Lower Brisbane or the Gold Coast. There will be a requirement to travel across our store network in QLD and Northern NSW, therefore a valid Driver's Licence is required.

Lead cyclical employee life cycle activities
Coach, guide and manage employee relations issues in your area
Champion our diversity and inclusion strategy and culture
Provide guidance and ensure compliance with relevant legislative, policy and process requirements
Who we’re looking for:
You will have a background in HR, with a good understanding around employee relations and experience with the talent lifecycle stages and process. You’ll have strong stakeholder management, with the ability to influence and empower leaders across the business, effectively manage employee performance and mitigate risk.
You’ll also have a high level of emotional intelligence and resilience; being able to operate effectively in a fast-paced and litigious environment, with the overall aim of promoting a positive workplace culture.
You’ll need:
A tertiary qualification in Law, HR, business, Commerce, Industrial Relations, or a related discipline (preferred)
Proven experience working in a HR business partner or HR Advisor role, ideally within a multi-site organisation (3 years minimum preferred)
Sound knowledge of employee relations legislation
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
A track record of taking initiative and achieving pragmatic outcome
