Responsibilities:
- The Product Development Senior Specialist is responsible for all activities related to the development of new products and/or features and functionality of products including developing business cases, requirements definition (BRDs), product enhancements innovation, feature and functionality definition based on market and industry research and trends and client needs
- This role manages the end-to-end product development lifecycle and will also scope product releases, agreeing to and tracking business priorities, incorporating regulatory and compliance requirements and investment tracking
- Creates a product vision aligned to business priorities and corresponding road-map to delivery
- Follows market, industry and client trends to own field and adapts them for application Citi’s products and solutions platforms
- Conceptualizes, plans, prioritizes, coordinates design and delivery of products or features to product release, and serves as product ambassador within user community
- Works in close co-ordination with Technology, Business Managers and senior stakeholders to fulfill the delivery objectives
- Manages and implements a wide variety of products and solutions to address client needs
- Has responsibility to deliver significant direct business results and authoritative advice regarding product development that necessitates a degree of responsibility over technical strategy
- Partners with senior business leaders and a widely distributed global user community to define and implement solutions
- Creates clear and specific project plans, business and technical requirements documents for product execution
- Interacts directly with business managers, technology, and sales to understand their long term vision, discuss industry trends, and incorporate them into the product & solutions strategy
- Focuses on controls and governance, including performing Need-to-Know based security and access reviews, Access Approvals, controls testing and documentation

Job Title: Global Digital Account Maintenance Product Manager

The Digital Onboarding Product team is responsible for developing & implementing a global digital strategy to support client onboarding, account maintenance, and offboarding across TTS business lines. The strategy includes the transformation of the operating and engagement model through delivery of self-service and digitized capabilities. We work in a cross functional model to facilitate a consistent experience across 90+ countries.
The digitization efforts currently underway aim to provide a simplified and digitized onboarding and bank account management experience to drive increased client satisfaction and reduce cycle times for onboarding requests.
This role will be primarily focused on enhancing the end-to-end Account Maintenance and Offboarding experience on behalf of Citi’s Institutional clients
What Will You Do?
You will sit within the Digital Account Maintenance global product team. You will be responsible for driving delivery of Digital Account Maintenance and Offboarding capabilities for clients. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
- Define and execute the multi-year product strategy and roadmap for Digital Account Maintenance in a cross functional setting
- Gather, review, and prioritize product capability requests from external and internal stakeholders.
- Understand markets and users’ experience through client feedback, surveys (Voice of client) and market research
- Create client user journeys and drive application development with Technology partners
- Evaluate emerging AI technologies and trends to identify potential product innovations and competitive advantages
- Manage relationships with cross functional partners in support of the product roadmap, day-to-day management, etc.
- Clearly define Agile EPICs and prioritize based on product vision and roadmap
- Support Product Owners with decomposing Agile EPICs into User Stories
- Maintain an active feedback loop with external and internal stakeholders for Onboarding program increments
- Understand the competitor landscape and where we are ahead or behind on our product feature set
- Defining, tracking, and reporting of your product’s key performance indicators (KPIs)
- Own the resolution plan and delivery for any risks related to your product – data quality, regulatory, vulnerability, etc.
- Communicate program progress, risk and issues to senior management
- Partner with the Account Maintenance Product Leader to shape strategic direction and represent the product in senior forums
Who Are We Looking For?
We are looking for someone that will be laser focused on client experience and can drive the onboarding experience forward in terms of innovative thinking, defining industry leading features and capabilities both for our external customers and the internal stakeholders who help support our products. Here are a few of the key attributes we will be looking for as part of the recruitment process:
- 10+ years of relevant experience
- 5+ years of experience in the digital banking or payments space where you have either been involved in defining product requirements (e.g. product manager) or have in-depth knowledge of this space via working directly with these types of products (e.g. client onboarding, servicing and support at a bank or a corporate institution).
- Design thinking – successfully translate client journeys into business requirements and technical discussions
- Proven experience in utilizing data analytics to identify unmet user needs, prioritize features, and measure product success against key performance indicators (KPIs)
- Ability to work and drive cross functional groups of stakeholders, countries, global and regional teams
- Ability to think through user problems, find solutions that eliminate manual touch points for our clients
- Working knowledge of KYC (Know Your Customer), AML (Anti-Money Laundering), and onboarding compliance frameworks relevant to institutional banking, with the ability to factor regulatory requirements into product design and delivery.
- Evidence-based decision making – ensuring that there is always logic to the decisions you make
- Excellent communication skills – ability to alter communications approach depending on your audience, for example level of seniority, technical acumen, internal vs. external, etc.
- Comfortable to chair senior dialogue in high-pressured environment and manage risk escalation appropriately within the organization
- (Highly preferable) Demonstrated experience building, integrating, or launching AI-powered product features (e.g., intelligent document processing, automated decisioning, or conversational interfaces), going beyond conceptual awareness to practical delivery
- (Highly preferable) Experience of digitizing and automating the client journey for a product and introducing them to different geographies
- (Preferable) A natural storyteller — able to distil complex topics into crisp, visually compelling narratives
