Role Title: Category Manager

Role Description: We are seeking experienced Defence Category Managers to support our client in delivering critical supply chain and procurement outcomes within the Maritime domain. The role is integral to managing complex contract portfolios and driving category management strategies that enable operational excellence across Defence programs.

As a Category Manager, you will lead the management and remediation of a large suite of existing standing offer contracts, while also driving the development of new category management procurement activities. This position requires a blend of commercial expertise, supply chain knowledge and strong stakeholder engagement skills.

Key Responsibilities:
 - Manage and remediate existing standing offer contracts, ensuring compliance and alignment with program requirements
 - Lead the development of two category management procurement activities, including:
 - Conducting industry research and analysis to assess market trends, supply chain capacity and capability for two established categories
     - Incorporating procurement connected policy into strategies and documentation
     - Performing risk analysis, including liability risk assessments
     - Develop and implement new category management procurement activities, leveraging specialist category contract management and supply chain experience.
 - Provide expert advice on category management strategies and supply chain optimisation.
 - Engage effectively with stakeholders across Defence and industry to ensure successful outcomes.

Essential Requirements:
 - Minimum Advanced Diploma of Procurement and Contracting (or equivalent).
 - Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply (CIPS) Professional Membership (Highly Desirable) 
 - Demonstrated experience in Defence supply chain category management and procurement policy
 - Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills

 - Proven experience in contract management and ERP systems.
