Role Summary:
We are seeking a payroll professional to provide expertise to our payroll team to include supervision of the payroll process, completion and tracking of ongoing data audits, and maintenance and set up of employment taxes for employees. The ideal candidate has in depth payroll experience, basic tax knowledge, and an interest in team leadership.
Your role:
- Lead and oversee international payroll processes, including manual checks and issue resolution
- Supervise, coach, and develop the payroll team
- Ensure payroll tax compliance, handle notices, audits, and amendments
- Maintain accurate payroll and employee tax data, including expatriates and foreign nationals
- Manage third‑party payroll/tax vendors and partnership with internal stakeholders
- Drive continuous process improvements and escalate complex issues as needed
Your profile:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance field
- Strong international payroll knowledge with 5–7 years’ experience
- Fluency in English (required) and Hungarian (strongly preferred)
- Advanced knowledge of Excel and Microsoft Office; knowledge of ERP systems (Workday, Kronos, Celergo, Horizon) is an advantage
- High attention to detail, analytical thinking, and ability to create/maintain payroll controls
- Excellent communication, customer service, and problem‑solving skills
- Proven leadership abilities with strong organizational and time‑management skills
