Mission of this Job:
Ensure the accurate, timely, and fully compliant execution of payroll and all related processes for employees in Colombia, closely adhering to labor, tax, and social security regulations. Own the continuous improvement and digitalization of payroll operations to strengthen efficiency, control, and risk mitigation. Serve as a strategic partner to the business, providing insights, analytics, and authority guidance that enhance decision-making, employee experience, and operational governance.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Payroll Execution & Compliance
· Own the end-to-end payroll process ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and strict compliance with Colombian labor, tax, and social security regulations.
· Be responsible for statutory payments, mandatory filings, and reporting to government authorities (UGPP, DIAN, MinTrabajo, etc.).
· Ensure adherence to internal controls, audit requirements, and company policies.
· Handle sophisticated payroll scenarios including salary integral, variable compensation, expatriates, and special agreements.
2. Process Optimization & Automation
· Drive continuous improvement initiatives to streamline payroll processes and reduce operational risks.
· Implement automation, digital tools, and guidelines to increase efficiency, data quality, and payroll visibility.
· Maintain strong payroll documentation, SOPs, and governance frameworks.
3. Business Partnership & Advisory
· Act as the subject matter authority for payroll, advising HR, Finance, Legal, and business leaders on regulatory changes and payroll implications.
· Provide payroll insights, analytics, and trends to support strategic decision-making.
· Serve as the customer concern point for sophisticated payroll queries.
4. Vendor & Technology Management
· Oversee relationships with payroll vendors, software providers, and third-party administrators.
· Ensure service-level agreements (SLAs) are met and drive continuous quality and performance improvements.
· Lead system updates, integrations, and payroll calendar management.
5. Team Leadership & Capability Building
· Supervise and mentor payroll specialists, fostering a high-performance, customer focused culture.
· Develop team capabilities in compliance, analytics, and process excellence.
· Ensure cross-training and business continuity plans are in place.
6. Reporting, Controls & Audit
· Ensure accurate payroll reconciliations, variance analyses, and monthly/annual reports for Finance and Corporate.
· Lead internal and external audits, providing full documentation and ensuring corrective actions are implemented.
· Maintain robust internal controls to mitigate payroll risks.
7. Employee Experience & Service Delivery
· Guarantee a positive employee experience through clear, responsive, and high-quality payroll service.
· Handle sophisticated cases discreetly, maintaining confidentiality and sensitivity.

Payroll Accuracy and Timelines (accuracy rate 99.8%, Ontime payroll delivery 100%, error resolution average < 48 hours for resolving payroll discrepancies.
Compliance and Risk Management (compliance score 100%, UGPP/DIAN/MinTrabajo Findings 0 major findings <= 1 minor finding per year, audit performance 100% completion with no critical observations).
Operational Efficiency & Continuous Improvement (Process Cycle Time Reduction: ≥ 10–20% annual reduction through automation and optimization, Manual Intervention Rate: Reduction year-over-year (target tailored per system maturity); SOP & Documentation Completion: 100% updated and audited annually).
Vendor & Technology Management (Vendor SLA Compliance: ≥ 98% adherence to service-level agreements; System Uptime & Reliability: ≥ 99.5% for payroll systems and Integrations; Issue Customer concern Resolution: ≤ 72-hour closure of vendor-related incidents).

Strong capability to handle payroll vendors, evaluate performance, and negotiate improvements.
Comfortable navigating payroll systems, HRIS platforms, and integrations.
Professional in Business Management or Industrial Engineer
Master in HR or Administration is desirably and plus
