As Payroll Consultant, you’re passionate about all things payroll. You thrive on figuring out what needs to be done and then doing it. Your keen eye for detail ensures the smooth delivery of all payroll and related activities across the enterprise.
What you'll work on
In this diverse and challenging role, you’ll apply a dual lens in the work that you perform. Your key focus will be assisting with the execution of the payroll strategy (including vendor arrangements) in alignment with the company strategy, supporting growth and positively impacting business outcomes.
Key responsibilities
Contribute to payroll analysis to assist with payroll reports and ad hoc projects
Undertake routine day-to-day payroll activities and processing requirements as directed by team members
Respond to routine payroll enquiries and issues from stakeholders across the enterprise, escalating as required
Contribute to ongoing continuous improvement initiatives for Telstra's payroll tools, systems, processes and procedures
Maintain payroll and related records and reconciliation for employee salaries and statutory record keeping purposes
To be successful in the role, you'll bring skills and experience in:
Relevant business and/or industry experience across payroll processing and reporting
Proven experience in managing multiple tasks whilst maintaining attention to detail
Demonstrated ability to work under time pressure and with competing priorities
Ability to work with teams effectively and with stakeholders
Written and oral communications and presentation skills resulting in the provision of quality documentation
Ability to work in a dynamic/fast paced environment
Exposure to SAP and Workday is highly desirable
