Job Summary

Position responsible for performing data entry of payroll transactions, preparing court ordered record requests, and assisting in related payroll duties. Typically reports to Manager, Payroll.

Job Description

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education:  High School Diploma or GED preferred

Licenses/Certifications: (None)

Experience / Knowledge / Skills:

  • Three (3) years of data entry experience required; payroll experience preferred

  • Knowledge of payroll processing, filing, forms completion, and record keeping

  • Basic computer skills including Microsoft Word and Excel

  • Ability to effectively communicate with employees and managers

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Monitors daily emails for team inbox and responds within required timeframe.

  • Enters payroll transactions into several payroll related systems

  • Responds to payroll inquiries, assists managers and employees with problem resolution.

  • Monitors daily service requests from employees, leaders and vendors.

  • Manages supply orders and inventory for payroll team.

  • Maintains departmental files; assists accounting department as necessary, performs data entry duties.

  • Prepares payroll report for subpoena records.

  • Handles all incoming mail for payroll department, scans and forwards to responsible team in the department

  • Ensures safe care to patients, staff and visitors; adheres to all Memorial Hermann policies, procedures, and standards within budgetary specifications including time management, supply management, productivity and quality of service.

  • Promotes individual professional growth and development by meeting requirements for mandatory/continuing education and skills competency; supports department-based goals which contribute to the success of the organization; serves as a resource to less experienced staff.
