The Payroll Analyst will be responsible for preparing, analyzing, and reviewing documents related to payroll processing, comparing data sets/determining data issues, and handling payroll duties as needed.

Payroll Processing: Process payroll accurately and timely for all employees, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements. Review and verify payroll data including timecards, new hires, terminations, and deductions (garnishments, benefit deductions).
Compliance Tasks:
Work with HR and unemployment vendor on open claims requiring payroll data.
Managing garnishments, including scanning, and uploading documents to ADP SmartCompliance.
Stay up to date with federal, state, and local payroll regulations and ensure compliance.
Employee Support: Addressing employee and manager queries related to time and payroll.
Collaboration: Working closely with all of HR to include but not limited to the payroll team, HR services team and benefits to ensure timely payroll adjustments and processing. Also working with the other departments like accounting and tax.
Audits and Reconciliation:
Performing weekly payroll audits.
garnishment transactions.
401k reconciliation
Benefit arrears.
HR Support: Collaborating with HROPS and HRBP teams on compliance matters and special projects.
Monopolistic State Audits: Assisting Tax Supervisor with semi-annual and annual audits related to monopolistic state regulations.
System Testing: Assisting with payroll and absence testing in Workday tenants.
Year-End Processing: Collaborating with the manager and payroll tax analyst on year-end processing tasks such as W-2, W-2C, EITC Notices, and Fringe Benefit processing.
Other Duties: Provide training and support to users on payroll systems and processes. Undertaking additional tasks as assigned by HR Leadership.
Requirements:
Experience: At least 3 years of payroll processing experience for 10,000+ employees.
Software Proficiency: Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications, especially Outlook and Excel.
Compliance Knowledge: Strong knowledge of state, federal, and local unemployment laws.
Communication: Excellent communication skills, essential for addressing employee and manager inquiries.
Team Player: Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Preferred Skills:
Education: A degree in accounting or a related field is preferred or 3+ years of payroll processing experience.
Software Experience: Previous exposure to systems like Workday, ADP, CIC-Plus, UltiPro, Ceridian, or similar.
M&A Experience: Experience with acquisitions and mergers is a plus!
Soft Skills:
Adaptability: Ability to quickly shift priorities if needed.
Organization: Detail-oriented and highly organized.
MS Office: Proficiency in Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Access is a plus.
