Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Payroll Administrator on a Fixed Term Basis for 6 months to join the team within Fugro based in the Bridge of Don, Aberdeen.

The Payroll Administrator will assist the Payroll Officer with the administration of the monthly and weekly payrolls. They will update employee records and perform duties necessary for the calculation of accurate wages and salaries of employees. 

In this role, you will report directly into the UK Payroll Manager and will work closely with the Payroll Officers within the team. You will also have direct communication with People Services, Business Control, FSSC and line managers to collate timesheet and data required in order to process an accurate payroll in line with policy, procedures and relevant legislation. 

This is a full-time position working a hybrid model of 3 days in the office and 2 days at home.

Your roles and responsibilities:

  • Update employee payroll records from Workday, enter new employee/leaver information, contract changes, etc

  • Assist with input of statutory leave information.

  • Calculation and input of offshore & site allowances, bonuses and overtime payments.

  • Holiday pay accrual, calculation and input.

  • Administration and process of overseas taxes.

  • Administration and input of salary sacrifice benefits, pension scheme memberships, auto enrolments.

  • Update monthly/weekly payroll data spreadsheets.

  • Maintain payroll mailbox, responding to queries in a timely manner and escalation where necessary.

  • Assist with P60 and P11D preparation.

  • Assist with payroll journals.

  • Administration of payroll recharge process.

  • Assist with maintenance and distribution of balance statements for Guaranteed Earnings to employees and line managers.

What you’ll need to thrive in this role:

  • Previous experience working in a fast paced, payroll position

  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel

  • Accuracy to attention and detail

  • Strong communicator and promotes open communication across the organisation

  • Ability to deliver quality service

  • Ability to work alongside peers, colleagues and partners

  • Takes ownership and initiative, acts with confidence and works under direction.
