The Opportunity:

As the Patient Services Representative, you will join WSU Health to support the assigned Logan Family Clinic, located in Spokane, WA. In this position, you may provide crossover support to other clinics and services of WSU Health, including those on and off-site of the WSU Spokane campus. You will support the administrative needs of the Clinic(s).

The Logan Family Clinic is located at Logan Elementary School in Spokane and provides comprehensive, patient-centered care for community members of all ages. All aspects of family medicine services are offered including annual checkup, vaccinations, chronic condition management and illness and injury care.

 

This position is a fundamental aspect of the mission of the WSU Elson S. Floyd College of Medicine is to provide appropriate medical service, which is to provide education and resources to the rural and under-served populations.

This is a full time (100% FTE), permanent position. This position is overtime eligible.

Monthly Salary: $3,417 to $4,542 (Steps A-M) | R038 | Successful candidates are typically hired at the beginning of the salary range and receive scheduled salary increment increases in accordance with WAC 357-28.

In accordance with RCW 49.58.110, the above salary reflects the full salary range for this position. Individual placement within the range is based on the candidate’s current experience, education, skills, and abilities related to the position.

Required Qualifications:

  • High school graduation or equivalent AND two years of general office experience or one year of office or customer service experience in a healthcare setting; OR equivalent education/experience.

  • Ability to obtain and maintain valid CPR certification within 30 days of appointment.

  • Working knowledge of medical terminology and HIPAA regulations.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.

  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends.

  • Ability to obtain and maintain required vaccinations for healthcare workers exposed to patients as defined by the CDC; OR provide record of blood serum titre.

  • Ability to work independently, ensuring effective use of time including prioritization and organizational skills.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication and use of technology skills.

  • Ability to work with the public, including in mobile and/or community settings.

  • Ability to effectively communicate with patients and their families.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • One (1) year of working in the healthcare field.

  • Six (6) months previous experience in a healthcare setting working with an Electronic Health record (EHR) such as Athena.
