We are looking for a compassionate and professional Patient Services Officer (Medical Administration) to join our welcoming team at our Ringwood Radiation Oncology Clinic, located within Ringwood Private Hospital.
As one of the first points of contact for our patients, you will play an important role in creating a calm, supportive, and reassuring experience from the moment they arrive in clinic.
This meaningful, patient facing position is ideal for someone who enjoys connecting with people, works well in a busy environment, and wants to make a genuine difference every day.

This is a permanent full-time opportunity, with flexibility to work 4 days per week for the right candidate!
More specifically, you will:
Greet and support patients with warmth and professionalism, both in person and over the phone
Book, confirm, and manage patient appointments and diaries to ensure a seamless experience
Receive and process patient referrals with care, accuracy, and attention to detail
Manage administrative tasks and documentation efficiently
Assist with billing, fee estimates, and payments, including Medicare and private health funds, using a patient‑first approach
Maintain confidential and up‑to‑date patient records
Help create a welcoming, respectful, and supportive environment for patients and their families
We're interested in hearing from people who have:
Experience in administration or reception within a busy, customer‑focused environment
A genuine enjoyment of working with people and providing thoughtful, patient‑centred service
The ability to communicate clearly, calmly, and compassionately, including in sensitive situations
Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities
Confidence using computer systems and a willingness to learn new technologies
Empathy, resilience, and a genuine desire to support patients and their families
Healthcare experience is highly regarded, but most importantly, we value compassion, professionalism, and a commitment to delivering exceptional patient care.
