Position Responsibilities:
Contributes to and generally supports efforts relating to Amentum’s SafeUp® Program.
Responsible for manifesting, coordinating, reporting, and transporting of all USAP passengers.
Utilizes personnel tracking software to manifest passengers on USAP passenger flights.
Coordinates commercial airline and accommodation requests for all redeploying USAP personnel.
Formats and sends accurate and timely Advanced Passenger Advisory (APA) and Departure Message e-mails for all intercontinental and intracontinental flights via USAP listserv.
Performs passenger check-ins and provides load planner with passenger summary information.
Updates the ATO Flight Information Channel, Flight Editor, Flight Board and station intranet as required.
Communicates via two-way radio in accordance with proper radio etiquette and procedures.
Generates, posts, and updates “bag drag” and transport manifests.
Safely operates 10-15 passenger vans.
Handles confidential matters (e.g., personnel actions, medevac, management reports, personal travel information, etc.) in accordance with ASC policy.
Reviews and updates departmental procedures, as needed.
Performs a variety of clerical duties such as typing, word processing, answering phones and filing.
Communicates professionally, both orally and in writing, with participants.
Performs other duties as required.
Required Education, Experience, Certificates and Licenses:
High School diploma or GED
Minimum of two years of customer service and/or administrative experience.
Expected Skills and Competencies:
Advanced computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office software programs.
Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Preferred:
Previous experience in a travel services position.
Physical and/or Other Requirements:
Willingness and ability to deploy to Antarctica for extended periods
Successful completion of Medical and Dental examinations required by the NSF for deployment to Antarctica
Successful completion of drug screening and background check required by employer
Successful completion of Federal Background Check required by the NSF
Must be willing and able to lift and move items, parts, assemblies, and equipment up to the safety regulation maximum as required by the position.
Must be willing and able to perform physical activities including heavy lifting, climbing in and out of equipment, crawling, and working outdoors in extreme cold as required by the position.
Must participate in community programs, such as “house-mouse” (chores), “daisy-picking” (cleaning-up around the station), recycling efforts & safety objectives.
Valid Driver’s License issued in the United States
Must be able to obtain and maintain facility credentials/authorization. Note: US Citizenship is required for facility credentials/authorization at this work location.
