JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS
The College of Agricultural Sciences is seeking applicants for part-time job of Undergraduate Student Intern.
Job duties to include:
Assisting with day-to-day greenhouse and field operations
Caring for greenhouse pot plants
Data collection
Processing plant and soil samples
Seed preparation
Planting, fertilization, harvest, and post-harvest cleanup
Support the implementation of agronomic field trials and greenhouse experiments on forage crops
Collect data through measurement, sampling, and subjective assessments to evaluate forage crops and to prepare plant tissue and soil samples for lab analysis
Requirements, qualifications, and/or competencies:
Students studying Animal Science, Plant Science, Soil Science, Biology, Agriculture, Bioengineering, Biotechnology, Microbiology, or related areas are encouraged to apply
Experience with farm equipment and fieldwork is desired
This paid internship is at Russell E. Larson Agricultural Research Center in Rock Springs and Greenhouses in University Park, central PA; relocation and housing are not provided. The candidate selected may be subject to a government security investigation.
