Position Description:

The Department of Engineering Fundamentals at the University of Louisville invites applications for part time lecturer for Summer 2026 term (May 11th – July 25th) The successful candidate will be responsible for the new Applied Engineering course in Solid Modeling and Rapid Prototyping (AE 123) for undergraduate engineering students. The successful candidate will be developing course materials, delivering the course and upskilling existing support faculty/staff to teach future sections.  It is anticipated that the class will meet in the afternoon/evenings four times per week at the Glendale Training Center in Elizabethtown Kentucky. Upon completion of the semester, course materials will reside with UofL for use in future classes.

Required Qualifications

Masters or Doctorate degree in Engineering or a related field. Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal skills, including working with a diverse population. Experience teaching engineering graphics or CAD courses Experience in rapid prototyping Demonstrated commitment to high-quality teaching and student success

Preferred Qualifications

Experience and interest interacting with first-year college students or similar population Interest and experience using evidence-based teaching practices and active learning Interest and experience in continuous course improvement based on scholarship of teaching and learning
