JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS

Dr. Kristina Petersen’s lab in the Department of Nutritional Sciences is seeking a part-time Clinical Research Coordinator to support externally funded clinical trials investigating dietary interventions and risk factors for heart disease and diabetes.

This role will involve study coordination for clinical trials being conducted in the lab. Tasks will include coordinating participant recruitment, conducting telephone and clinic screenings, coordinating data collection visits, visit scheduling, managing participant flow through the trials, and research-related administrative tasks. 

We are seeking a candidate that is reliable, proactive, task- orientated, attentive to detail, and has excellent communication, team-work, and organizational skills. Prior experience in humans subjects research is required, and prior experience in clinical trial coordination is highly desired. Training will be provided for the specific tasks this position requires. 

This position will involve approximately 20 hours per week of work with typical working hours being Monday to Friday 6:45 am to 10:45 am. This is an in-person job in State College, Pennsylvania. BACKGROUND CHECKS/CLEARANCES

This position requires the following clearances in addition to applicable background checks: PA State Police Criminal Background Check, PA Child Abuse History Clearance Form, and Federal (FBI) Fingerprint Criminal Background Check.
