In order to support customer services organisation, Airbus is looking for a

Parking & Storage (P&S) and Return To Service (RTS) Engineering Manager (d/f/m)

You will join a team of highly motivated professionals across the globe, striving to develop and deliver value-adding support and services to our customers in the field of Maintenance & Retrofit Engineering (SIM) within the customer services organisation. We are developing a unique front desk for the Maintenance & Retrofit Engineering perimeter and want to reinforce our capacity to answer customer queries by improving time coverage, quality performance, and on-time deliveries.

In this context, you will contribute to the P&S/RTS front desk performance and drive continuous improvement related to the Customer Front Desk process, tools, and governance to ensure the best queries answer is provided to our customers.

Your tasks and responsibilities

  • Answer the daily P&S queries from operators, through TechRequest, and define recovery actions to return the aircraft to airworthy conditions in case of deviations.

  • Identify risks of unsafe or unsecure conditions related to Parking & Storage conditions.

  • Define priorities and coordinate a network of contributors from Airbus internal, operators, and airworthiness authorities.

  • Represent Airbus in front of Airworthiness Authorities, Customers (airlines and lessors) or Industry stakeholders in the field of expertise.

  • Monitor and manage subcontracting performance of answer to customer queries (OTD, RFT, Subcontractor autonomy, etc.).

  • Escalate any blocked query/ risk and ensure good technical communication with Front Desk officers in other sites (Beijing, Mobile, Europe).

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to restore/ maintain performance, including managing the monthly Quality Review Meeting with the subcontractor.

  • Assess and provide required resource, budget, and make-or-buy strategy to meet the Customer Front Desk ambition (Input for yearly OP exercise).

Desired skills and qualifications

  • Educated to a 5 years’ degree level (or equivalent) in engineering or a related discipline.

  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience within the aviation sector/environment.

  • Experience in working in an airline / MRO, in the field of Maintenance and Engineering is a plus

  • Knowledge of A/C engineering and configuration management (structure or system).

  • Familiarity with Airbus documentation (SRM/ASR, AMM/MP, IPC/AIPC, PMS, AWL etc.).

  • Customer-oriented mindset with good negotiation, interpersonal, and communication skills.

  • English: Negotiation level; German is a plus.

  • Capacity to communicate and be adaptable to different cultures, fostering a trustful and inclusive environment.
