Qualifications: MANDATORY QUALIFICATION CRITERIA: For this particular job, applicants must meet all competencies reflected under the Mandatory Qualification Criteria to include education (if required). Online resumes must demonstrate qualification by providing specific examples and associated results, in response to the announcement's mandatory criteria specified in this vacancy announcement: 1) Experience working in a legal environment as a paralegal or legal assistant providing to attorneys timely, accurate, and practical written materials to ensure organizational mission is consistent with the Constitution, applicable Title 10, Title 50, and other foundational statutory authorities and regulatory guidance. 2) Experience with organizational skills and attention to detail, and ability to evaluate pertinent facts; research, analyze, and evaluate case files against litigation worthiness standards; and manage legal processes, caseloads, and workflows. 3) Experience editing correspondence and updating databases; reviewing data for integrity, accuracy, and currency; and/or reconciling a range of differences to ensure consistency between database entries and source data. 4) Experience using online computer-assisted platforms (e.g., Lexis, Westlaw, BlueBook, etc.) to research, identify, analyze, and/or cite to relevant case law, statutes, regulations, and/or policies. 5) Experience using written and oral communication skills to convey information to audiences of various technical capabilities. 6)Experience providing paralegal services in support of one or more of the following areas: administrative law; intelligence law; national security law; international law; federal employment law, policies, procedures, and programs; legislative proposals and reviews; information technology law; litigation; tort claims; ethics; privacy and civil liberties; the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA); intelligence oversight; acquisition law; or intellectual property law. DESIRABLE QUALIFICATION CRITERIA: In addition to the mandatory qualifications, experience in the following is desired: 1) Paralegal certificate. 2) Experience applying critical thinking to moderate problem identification, analysis and resolution to provide superior legal research and writing. 3) Experience providing paralegal services in support of the U.S. Military, intelligence Community, Department of Defense, or other U.S. Government agencies. 4) Experience navigating ambiguity to new demands or information and handling situations with multiple variables and/or unknowns, especially where there is little judicial precedent or case law. Ability to provide guidance to Agency subject matter experts on collecting evidence to support a variety of legal matters.
