Job Description:

Under the direction of the Associate General Counsel, this role will be an integral member of a highly talented team, with responsibility to provide valued support to Cambria’s legal department. The Paralegal will provide legal support to a company's internal legal team by performing tasks like research, document drafting, compliance monitoring, legal invoice review, record maintenance and assisting with litigation matters, all while working closely with various departments within the organization to address specific legal needs related to the company's operations. The successful candidate will have demonstrated in-house or law firm paralegal experience and excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to support multiple tasks and individuals and will enjoy working on a variety of matters. 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Provide litigation support including discovery related tasks, case development, project management, and case summaries

  • Set-up and maintain legal files and docket system; manage file storage and retention

  • Generate various legal matters and financial reports

  • Gather necessary information and documents for assigned projects

  • Track legal matters

  • Support legal invoice review

  • Conduct legal and factual research

  • Provide general administrative support and assistance to Cambria’s legal department (including but not limited to scheduling meetings, arranging travel, preparing expense reports, maintaining lists of files, copying, scanning, typing, proofreading, processing legal bills)

  • Perform special projects as required to increase effectiveness and efficiency 

  • Assist with copyright, trademark, and patent applications and prosecution

  • Additional duties as assigned

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Previous litigation experience

  • Ability to prioritize projects, stay on task, and manage workload in a fast-paced work environment.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team

  • Ability to multi-task

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills

  • Confidentiality and dependability

  • Good judgment and professionalism, and exhibiting flexibility and versatility to provide support

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills

Minimum Requirements:

Education: Bachelor’s degree, Associate’s degree in Paralegal Studies, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience 

Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of paralegal experience in a law firm or in-house legal department 

Systems: Advanced computer technology skills, specifically MS Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Adobe Acrobat

Physical Requirements: Office position requiring telephone and computer use. Able to lift up to 20 pounds occasionally / sparingly (office supplies, packages, samples). May need to bend, reach, walk, or stoop occasionally. Prolonged periods sitting and/or standing at a desk and working on a computer.

Travel Requirements: Limited travel to other Cambria locations 

Cambria’s starting salary range for this position is $80,000 - $107,000. Salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the target for new hires for the position. Individual pay is determined by several factors, including work location, job-related experience, and relevant education and/or training.
