The Anodize II is an intermediate-level position in a manufacturing environment responsible for performing more complex anodize tasks with minimal supervision. This role involves preparing surfaces, mixing, and applying various types of paints and coatings, and ensuring that finished products meet high-quality standards. The Production Painter II is expected to have a strong understanding of painting techniques, equipment, and safety protocols, contributing to the efficiency and quality of the production process.
Key Responsibilities
1. Mastery of advanced painting techniques, including the application of specialized coatings (e.g., powder coating, UV-cured paints) and work on complex surfaces.
2. Ability to apply different types of paints and coatings, including primers, enamels, and epoxies, with consistency.
3. Understanding of color mixing, matching, and blending to achieve desired results.
4. Knowledge of quality control procedures to inspect work for defects like runs, sags, and uneven coverage.
5. Strong attention to detail for achieving high-quality finishes.
6. Basic troubleshooting skills for resolving minor issues with paint application or equipment.
7. Time management skills to meet production schedules and deadlines.
8. Must be cross-trained and able to support all Painter I & II roles.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Essential Qualifications
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1-3 years of experience in industrial painting or a related field. Expertise in using and maintaining all types of painting equipment, including automated systems, spray booths, and HVLP (High Volume Low Pressure) guns.
• Ability to use and accurately read measuring devices (tape measures).
• Ability to use hand tools (hammer, wrench, level, etc.).
• Ability to follow blueprints.
• Ability to read and interpret Work Instructions and Standard Operating Procedures.
• Ability to use a computer with basic proficiency (data entry).
