The starting rate of pay for this position is $16.70.
SHIFT: Rotating (3 days work/4 days off & 4 days work/3 days off - work every other weekend) 12-hour shift 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
SUMMARY
Examines and packs products while maintaining critical production and quality standards. Adheres to all company policies, procedures, and all safety guidelines.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Observes and follows all safety regulations.
Will be required to pack more than 1 line.
Packs polyethylene bags/liners in a neat and orderly manner according to job specification, closely adhering to the count per box.
Checks quality of products for width and length, seal strength, packaging specifications and any other specification noted as special instructions.
Ensures all products are properly labeled before stacking finished product.
Keeps accurate counts in the computer system.
Report all production or equipment problems to Machine Operator and/or Supervisor.
Helps the team give breaks.
Maintains a clean work and clutter free area at all times.
Helps pick up scrap material around production lines and cut down rolls.
Assists in processing start-up as required.
Maintain and document required production and quality records as required.
Perform other related functions and duties as assigned or required.
QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or GED equivalent.
Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to read and write to complete required forms and verify quality products are produced.
Must have good vision, eye-hand coordination, and hearing.
PHYSICAL AND WORK ENVIRONMENT REQUIREMENTS
Ability to work overtime, holidays, weekends, days, or nights for 12 or more hours.
Ability to stand, sit, kneel, bend, stoop, climb, reach, and crawl for extended periods multiple times per day.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted.
No fear of heights.
Must have manual dexterity involving total wrist action, twisting, pulling, and raising arms at or above shoulder height.
Ability to work in warm, humid, and cool climates for 12 or more hours per day or night.
Ability to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) which includes safety glasses, safety goggles, hearing protection, steel toe shoes/boots, face shield, gloves, and face mask.
