DESCRIPTION:
Join our Design team as a Package Designer and make a meaningful impact on advanced technology and processes. As an Package Designer, you'll support continuous improvement, ensure quality standards, and optimize production processes while collaborating with cross-functional teams. You will be involved in technical projects and provide manufacturing support to help deliver innovative solutions that enable our customers to make the world healthier, cleaner, and safer.

Responsibilities:
•    Prepares packaging samples, 2 and 3 dimensional CAD drawings and graphic designs including any and all necessary specification documents. Packaging components include but are not limited to: blister cards, folding cartons, coldform and thermoform cavities, tooling designs and seal board layouts. Each Package Designer is solely responsible for the accurate and timely completion of the structural, graphical and mechanical aspects of any given project.
•    Works with other departments to develop/create training and/or presentation materials.
•    Works with Client Services to develop high quality proposals, quotations and work orders.
•    Provides the necessary attention and communication to all customers internal and external, including follow up on a regular basis.
•    Achieves, maintains and advances the necessary level of knowledge of packaging materials, techniques and information via communication with vendors, attending seminars, attending trade shows, subscribing to trade magazines and publications, etc.
•    Generates/updates the necessary documentation according to departmental/individual responsibilities and requirements.
•    Achieves and maintains a working knowledge of company SOP's. Assists in the revision and /or creation of new procedures and guidelines relating to Design and Engineering. Alerts management to any procedural errors or inconsistencies.
•    Participates in meetings, when required, with or without customers, to determine new and custom designs.
•    On call at management’s request to assist in meeting project deadlines.
•    Responsible for contributing to the formulation of annual goals and objectives. Includes all necessary communication, documentation, execution and completion of any and all steps necessary to successfully complete these goals.
 

Minimum Qualifications:
•    Experience with AutoCAD computer software
•    Experience with Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop computer software
•    Experience with SolidWorks computer software
•    Experience with Microsoft office products (including but not limited to Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project, Outlook, and Microsoft Windows)
•    Good customer service skills
•    Good math, Geometry and Trigonometry skills
•    Physical ability to lift up to 25 pounds

Preferred Qualifications:
•    An Associate’s degree in Drafting/Design or related field
•    A good mechanical aptitude
•    Creative thinking and problem solving
•    Above average responsibility
•    The ability to schedule multiple and varied projects to meet deadlines
