The job:
As the Senior Manager, Sales (Director - Direct Sales, Pacific), you will lead and execute AVEVA's direct sales strategy within the Pacific region. Based in Sydney, Australia, you will be responsible for driving growth by engaging with key customers, developing new business opportunities, and ensuring the effective delivery of AVEVA’s solutions. This role requires a strategic mindset, proven sales leadership, and the ability to cultivate relationships at senior levels across industries.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales Leadership: Develop and implement AVEVA’s direct sales strategy for the Pacific region, focusing on revenue growth, market share, and customer acquisition.
Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, acting as a trusted advisor and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and engagement.
New Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities across the Pacific region, expanding AVEVA’s reach within industrial and engineering sectors.
Revenue and Forecasting: Achieve sales targets and manage sales forecasting, pipeline development, and resource allocation to ensure consistent performance.
Team Development and Management: Lead, mentor, and support the sales team, promoting a high-performance culture and continuous learning. Collaborative Engagement: Work closely with internal teams, including product management, marketing, and customer success, to align sales efforts with broader organizational goals.
Market Intelligence and Strategy: Stay informed of industry trends, competitor activities, and regulatory changes in the Pacific region to refine sales strategies accordingly.
Reporting and Analysis: Provide regular reports on sales performance, market opportunities, and challenges to senior leadership.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field; MBA is a plus.
10+ years of experience in direct sales, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
Demonstrated success in managing high-value customer relationships and achieving revenue targets within the industrial or engineering software sector.
Strong business acumen, with an understanding of industry trends and customer needs within the Pacific region.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and negotiate effectively.
Proven track record of building, developing, and managing successful sales teams.
Experience in using CRM systems and data analytics tools to manage sales activities and drive insights.
Ability to work collaboratively in a matrixed organization and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in industrial software sales or related technology fields.
Knowledge of the Pacific market landscape, including specific industries and competitors.
Familiarity with AVEVA’s product suite or similar technology solutions.
