Takeda Ireland, part of Takeda Pharmaceuticals operates as a key manufacturing site within Takeda’s global Network. It specialises in producing pharmaceutical products and Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (APIs) for global distribution. The sites operations align with Takeda’s core focus area including Oncology, Gastroenterology, Neuroscience, Rare Diseases, Plasma-Derived Therapies and Vaccines. As the Tech transfer engineering intern, you will gain valuable insights into the day-to-day operations of a pharmaceutical manufacturing facility while also being part of the team leading the charge of a brand new key strategic product which is critical for our patients.  

As the Tech Transfer Engineering intern, you will be supporting the tech transfer team and manager in the introduction of a brand-new headlining strategic product into Takeda Grange Castle. You will be assisting the team in the support of the transfer of the products from the SU into the RU. Responsibilities typically include assisting with process development, engineering runs, process validation, documentation, equipment qualification, troubleshooting and ensuring compliance with quality and safety standards. The main skills required are;

Technical knowledge: understanding of chemical engineering processes

Analytical Skills: Ability to analyse data and solve problems effectively

Communications: Strong written and verbal communication for collaboration

Teamwork: Ability to work in cross functional teams

Attention to detail: Ensuring compliance with regulations and standards

Organisation: Managing multiple tasks and deadlines efficiently

Software proficiency: Familiarity with tools like Excel, word, and process simulation tools

Adaptability: Eagerness to learn and tackle technical challenges
