Position Overview:
The OT Cybersecurity Engineer is responsible for deploying, managing, and monitoring protection solutions across Solventum’s OT environments. This role ensures secure remote access, integration with advanced authentication and applications, and ongoing support for OT infrastructure maintenance, patching, and user support. The role also supports OT vulnerability management by helping identify, prioritize, and remediate security risks in alignment with operational requirements, while adhering to industry‑leading frameworks such as IEC 62443, NIST CSF, and NIST 800‑82.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Vulnerability management: Support identification, assessment, and prioritization of OT vulnerabilities using a risk‑based approach aligned to operational criticality and site constraints.
  • Remediation support: Coordinate with OT Infrastructure, site teams, and vendors to support remediation planning, patching strategies, and compensating controls without disrupting operations.
  • Security posture improvement: Contribute to continuous improvement of OT security through threat awareness, vulnerability trending, and alignment with industry standards and internal security governance.
  • Endpoint protection: Deploy, manage, and monitor endpoint protection solutions for OT systems.
  • Secure remote access: Implement and maintain secure remote access solutions, integrating with segmented secure authentication.
  • OT infrastructure support: Provide ongoing support for OT infrastructure maintenance, patching prioritization, and monitoring implementation.
  • Transformation projects: Participate in OT transformation and upgrade projects. Develop automation for OT Security processes.
  • User support: Offer technical support to OT users, ensuring secure and efficient operations.
  • Advanced technical support: Implement and optimize security technologies to enhance current infrastructure.
  • Policy and standards alignment: Align and enhance OT cybersecurity policies, standards, and processes.
  • Risk management: Identify, report, and mitigate risks and gaps in OT endpoint security. Apply knowledge of vulnerability management, threat detection, and risk evaluation with OT prioritization and mitigation.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the OT Cybersecurity Architect, IT SOC, OT Security Governance, and Cybersecurity Regional and Local Resources.
  • Incident response: Enhance incident response capabilities in collaboration with site teams and the Security Operations Center (SOC).
  • Asset management: Support and enhance OT asset management practices.

Qualifications:

  • Strong technical expertise: In endpoint protection technologies and OT environments.
  • Problem-solving skills: Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex endpoint security issues.
  • Cybersecurity frameworks: Experience with NIST CSF, IEC 62443, and NIST 800-82.
  • Communication: Excellent collaboration and communication skills.
