Role Overview

The OSC Specialist (Singapore) is a role served by experienced financial technologists with responsibilities that include providing customer support and production-level operational oversight of Cboe's Data Vantage market data and analytics platforms — with an initial focus on the Hanweck platform and an expectation to grow coverage across the full suite of Data Vantage products (e.g., LiveVol, Silexx, Indices, DataShop) over time. This role may also be called upon to provide supplementary support to the Cboe Titanium trading platform as needed.

This position is part of Cboe's follow-the-sun support model for its US Global Trading Hours (GTH) markets, providing critical overnight and early-session coverage from Singapore that ensures continuous, high-availability operations across Cboe's data and trading infrastructure. The Singapore-based OSC Specialist is responsible for providing first-level world-class support in conjunction with solving problems, monitoring systems, and ensuring platforms maintain a healthy state — troubleshooting when they do not. Individuals in this role will act as a liaison between different stakeholders including global and regional banks, buy-side firms, corporates, prime brokers, and vendors, along with internal business and technology teams. An OSC Specialist must be able to work independently with little to no direct supervision in performing their duties and will have many opportunities to provide input into the full lifecycle of projects and to directly impact the success of the Singapore team and the greater organization.

Based on follow-the-sun coverage needs, work schedules may need to adjust throughout the year during daylight savings time to provide for overlapping support schedules with other regions, and shift starting times may be as early as 5–6AM SGT.

Major Job Duties

Technical Support — Hanweck & Data Vantage Platforms: Serve as the primary point of support for the Hanweck platform during the Singapore coverage window, with a growth path toward support of the full Data Vantage product suite. Provide first-level, world-class support — answering questions and resolving customer issues related to APIs, data delivery, and platform features/functions to the "Deliver Plus One" standard. Provide timely and professional outbound communications (internal and external) servicing OSC support queues and providing customer phone support.

System Monitoring & Platform Health: Perform daily system startup and health checks and periodically review audit logs to verify system changes. Monitor active production, disaster recovery, and certification/test environment systems — ensuring platforms are operating as expected and taking direct action to resolve known issues. Monitor database health tools and batch processing pipelines. Provide customers, regulators, and the business with live updates related to system and data issues during the GTH coverage window.

Trading & Product Support: Support Data Vantage business teams with data and platform behavior requests. Assist third-party clients with setup, configuration, and troubleshooting. Support administrative system configuration changes (end-user entitlements, routing rules, port and session creation). Provide supplementary operational support for the Cboe Titanium trading platform when called upon, as well as other Cboe-related products and trading support applications.

Platform Change & Testing: Liaise with business associates, customers, and software engineers to define and design new features and functions. Test changes to systems and platform functionality prior to deployment and work with the software engineering team to resolve systemic issues. Participate in internal and industry-wide weekend testing as needed. Conduct API certification testing and logical port creation and modification of default settings.

Subject Matter Expertise: Develop and maintain subject matter expertise in one or more areas critical to Data Vantage production operations support. Provide mentoring and guidance to Cboe staff. Liaise with vendors and operators of facilities supporting critical data and financial infrastructure.

Incident Response & Troubleshooting: Perform analytical functions to troubleshoot and explain complex technical and/or data issues, conduct root cause analysis and impact analysis, and resolve customer issues related to Cboe's APIs (market data, order entry, web service). Investigate error logs and data dissemination issues, troubleshoot network issues, and review relevant logs. Utilize Linux file systems to access system files and directories to troubleshoot and resolve issues. Participate in operational on-call support rotations as needed.

Data Analysis & Reporting: Utilize SQL to conduct data mining against databases, a UNIX shell to examine log files, and Cboe proprietary tools to gather and analyze data, provide reports, and service the needs of customers and business teams. Leverage experience with file transfer processing and cloud technology (e.g., AWS) as applicable.

Client Onboarding & Access Management: Onboard new clients, establish client access to platforms, provision new services, and assist customers with establishing default settings (e.g., entitlements, routing, risk management) based on their usage of a given Data Vantage platform.

Procedures & Documentation: Update internal technical and operations procedures within the Operations team's Confluence space. Draft technical notices and updates to technical specifications as required.

The ideal candidate has

Bachelor's Degree: Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Business, FinTech, Financial Services, Communications, or a related discipline.

4+ years - Securities-related or technical support position including experience with options, equities, futures, index, and/or currency market data, market analytics (e.g., Time and Sales, Earnings, Volatilities), and proficiency analyzing financial market data

3+ years - UNIX / Linux Shell including experience with file transfer processing

2+ years - Cloud Technology (e.g., AWS, GCP, …)

1+ years - SQL

1+ years - Agile Development Methodology

Communication & Language Skills:

Fluency in English — both written and spoken — is required. This role serves as a critical communication link between Cboe's Singapore presence and its US-based Data Vantage and Operations teams during GTH market hours. The ability to communicate clearly and precisely in English — including during time-sensitive data incident and customer support scenarios — is essential to effective follow-the-sun operations.

Mandarin Chinese fluency is highly desirable.

Korean fluency is desirable.

Japanese fluency is desirable.

Global Trading Hours (GTH) Awareness:

Familiarity with or strong interest in US equities, options, and/or futures markets — and the market data and analytics products that serve them — is a plus. This role directly supports Cboe's US GTH market operations and Data Vantage platforms, which serve professional market participants across global time zones. The Singapore time zone is a strategically important operating window for ensuring continuous data availability and customer support coverage.
