Job Summary: You will serve as an Ordnance Operations Manager in the Navy Munitions Command Pacific CONUS West Division of NMC CWD DET SEAL BEACH.

Major Duties:

  • You will serve as the Ordnance subject matter expert exercising full authority over all ordnance matters and civilian personnel relating to direct military policy or orders.
  • You will manage and oversee Fleet Ordnance Support (FOS) , Missile and Underwater Weapons Departments.
  • You will direct policy, procedural and operational changes to increase program effectiveness.
  • You will establish command priorities, clarify responsibilities, develop teamwork, enhance communications, build customer relations establish strategic intense, eliminate duplication and resolve conflicts.
  • You will analyze and interpret broad directives prescribed by higher authority for the management and direction of operational programs and related financial and manpower resources.
  • You will direct studies concerning plans, projects, programs and problems for the command.
  • You will develop policies, processes, and procedures pertaining to operations.
  • You will manage Fleet Ordnance Support, including the receipt, segregation, storage and issue of ordnance.
  • You will execute administrative and personnel management functions related to the accomplishment of the operations program.
  • You will direct the operations of the unit through subordinate supervisors and employees.

Qualifications: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Managing or overseeing an ordnance program that involves weapons support and logistics operations involving the receipt, storage, inventory, movement, and accountability of ordnance or explosive material to support military ordnance operations.
